The Red Sea is an innovative luxury tourism destination located along Saudi Arabia’s west coast. Its first five resorts—Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea, The St Regis Red Sea Resort, Nujuma (a Ritz-Carlton Reserve), Shebara, and Desert Rock—are already receiving guests. Red Sea International Airport (RSI), dedicated to the destination, now welcomes direct flights from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Dubai. In 2025, an additional 11 resorts are expected to open. By 2030, the destination will feature 50 resorts, 8,000 hotel rooms, and 1,000 residential properties, along with luxury marinas, golf courses, entertainment venues, dining options, and leisure facilities.
The Red Sea is at the forefront of the global shift toward regenerative tourism, which seeks to create positive impacts on the environment, society, and economy, moving beyond traditional sustainability. Technology will play a key role in ensuring smooth, memorable visitor experiences while preserving the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Laura Hernandez Gonzalez, Managing Director of MENA at Globant, concluded: “Our collaboration with Red Sea Global reflects our shared commitment to innovation-driven growth in tourism.
