How Investors Are Navigating Market Turbulence in 2025: Embracing Diversification and Strategic Shifts

Stock Market Volatility Drives Shift Towards Diversification, Quality, and Smart Hedging

Dubai, UAE – March 12, 2025 Stock market volatility is nothing new, but 2025 has proven to be a year where investors are forced to rethink traditional strategies. The once-reliable playbook of riding mega-cap tech stocks to victory is being replaced by a more balanced approach, one that emphasizes diversification, high-quality investments, and strategic hedging.

As market turbulence continues, investors are adjusting their strategies, moving away from concentrated risk in a handful of overvalued names. Rather than placing all bets on a few high-growth stocks, diversified exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are gaining popularity as a means to hedge against single-stock risk. In addition, global markets—particularly in Europe, Asia, and Japan—are attracting fresh capital as investors seek to broaden their exposure beyond the US, Lale Akoner, Global Markets Analyst at eToro commented.

With corporate reforms in Japan and a growing number of undervalued opportunities in European equities, international exposure is back on the radar. This helps mitigate the concentration risk posed by the US market’s reliance on a small group of tech giants.

“Investors are increasingly turning to global markets and diversified assets to build more resilient portfolios,” says Lale Akoner, Global Markets Analyst at eToro. “The shifting landscape in both the US and abroad is prompting a rethink in how and where to deploy capital.”

As part of this shift, the focus is returning to fundamentals. Investors who were burned by speculative frenzies, such as those seen with the Magnificent 7 tech stocks, are pivoting toward high-quality companies with strong balance sheets, resilient earnings, and dependable cash flows. The priority is now on substance over hype.

Sector rotations are also underway. Defensive sectors like healthcare, utilities, and consumer staples are experiencing renewed interest as investors look for shelter from market volatility. Financials, once beaten down by uncertainty, are showing signs of life, buoyed by rising net interest margins and an improving lending environment. Meanwhile, defense stocks are benefiting from a surge in global military spending, and clean energy continues to attract capital, driven by government incentives and long-term policy support.

Hedging remains a critical component in investor strategies. With lingering inflation concerns and shifting rate cut expectations, commodities like gold are once again taking center stage as a buffer. Bond ETFs are also making a strong comeback, offering steady income and portfolio stability amid continued market uncertainty.

Even cryptocurrency, once viewed as a high-risk asset, is regaining its place in the conversation. Bitcoin and Ethereum, as the dominant players with the largest networks, most adoption, and significant institutional backing, are emerging as safer bets for those seeking exposure to this emerging asset class.

“The days of mega-cap tech stocks single-handedly driving the market may be behind us,” says Akoner. “2025 is shaping up to be a year where broader leadership, quality, and strategic diversification take precedence. Investors who are able to play both offense and defense will be the most likely to succeed in this evolving market.”

New film details Infobip’s mission to democratise global omnichannel communications

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 20 February 2025 – Global communications platform Infobip has released a new documentary, distributed with CBS News, showcasing its journey from startup to the first Croatian company gaining a billion-dollar valuation without external funding. The documentary details Infobip’s exponential growth and how it has helped some of the world’s most well-known businesses provide more conversational customer experiences that drive loyalty.

Consumers want a conversation with their favourite business or brand on the channels they use with their families and friends. They no longer want to swap between multiple apps or websites. So, brands must be able to provide seamless and conversational experiences. From its creation in 2006, Infobip has been at the forefront of providing innovative omnichannel communications and has helped democratise the communication between businesses and customers.

For instance, Infobip has helped Uber remain competitive in key markets like APAC, EMEA and LATAM serving over 110 million users with its products. Since the partnership began in 2019, Infobip provides number masking for secure end-to-end communication between drivers and passengers, achieving a 90% global call anonymisation target. Over time, the partnership has expanded to include additional valuable services, such as SMS alerts and WhatsApp communication, even enabling users to order an Uber directly.

The documentary also details how Infobip’s innovative products and services help brands gain competitive advantage, showcasing conversational AI and new messaging channels such as RCS.

Silvio Kutić, CEO at Infobip, said: “As technology and customer preferences evolve, Infobip has been at the forefront of driving innovation in omnichannel communications as our partnership with Uber demonstrates. TrinaTracker Opens 3GW Factory in Saudi Arabia, Strengthening Regional Renewable Energy Goals

New facility supports localization, innovation, and sustainability in the Kingdom’s solar sector, which is projected to reach USD 125.2 billion by 2033.

19 February 2025 – TrinaTracker, a global leader in smart solar tracking solutions and a subsidiary of Trinasolar Co. Ltd (SHA: 688599), has announced the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia, set to begin operations in Q1 2025. The facility, Trina Tracker for Renewable Energy, represents a key milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to localization and enhancing its distribution and service capabilities in the MEA region.

The factory is part of a land-lease agreement with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON). Located in the 3rd Industrial City in Jeddah, the facility will have an annual production capacity of 3GW, specializing in the manufacturing of TrinaTracker’s Vanguard series of solar trackers and smart control systems. This will mark TrinaTracker’s fourth manufacturing plant, joining its existing operations in China, Spain, and Brazil.

Saudi Arabia’s solar market is projected to reach USD 125.2 billion by 2033, reflecting the country’s rapid expansion in renewable energy. The establishment of TrinaTracker’s new factory aligns with this growth, reinforcing its commitment to localization and innovation in the region.

Vincent Wu, Global Sales Vice President and MEA MU Head at Trinasolar, stated: “The establishment of our new TrinaTracker factory in Saudi Arabia is a strategic step in advancing our localization efforts and reinforcing our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. By enhancing our local presence, we are improving service capabilities, increasing delivery efficiency, and ensuring that customers in the region have access to innovative, high-quality solar tracking solutions. This initiative supports Saudi Vision 2030 by contributing to the country’s efforts to diversify its energy mix, create local jobs, and drive growth in the renewable energy sector. Ultimately, it contributes to long-term energy sustainability and strengthens both the Kingdom’s and the broader region’s energy resilience.”

As part of its commitment to sustainability, the factory will operate with zero pollutant emissions during the production process, further supporting the region’s clean energy transition. TrinaTracker’s smart solar tracking solutions are specifically designed to optimize energy generation in the challenging weather conditions common in Saudi Arabia and the region, such as sand, strong winds, and high temperatures. Leveraging real-world data from global projects, the TrinaTracker smart control system enhances energy yield by 8% annually, significantly boosting the internal rate of return (IRR) for solar project owners.

In line with Trinasolar’s broader strategy to enhance regional service, the factory will also ensure faster delivery, improved technical support, and comprehensive pre-sales and after-sales services. A dedicated service team will provide training programs and on-site support, reinforcing Trinasolar’s commitment to its partners and clients. This initiative will further strengthen TrinaTracker’s global footprint and expand its presence in the region and beyond.

The establishment of the factory is part of Trinasolar’s broader commitment to supporting the Middle East’s transition to renewable energy. One of the notable projects contributing to this vision is the Abydos Battery Energy Storage Project in Aswan, Egypt, in partnership with AMEA Power. The project recently reached a significant milestone with the successful completion of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at Trina Storage’s Super-Factory in Chu Zhou, China, last month. The first shipment of the Elementa 2 system is scheduled to depart the port on February 19, 2025, marking an important step in advancing the region’s energy transformation.

By expanding local manufacturing, optimizing energy solutions, and reinforcing strategic partnerships, Trinasolar is playing a pivotal role in supporting the region’s energy goals. These efforts are enhancing energy security, boosting sustainability, and driving economic growth, all of which contribute directly to the Middle East’s broader vision of a clean, diversified energy future.

Bitcoin: Where Does It Go Now?

Simon Peters, crypto analyst at eToro

The current sentiment in the cryptocurrency market is extremely cautious, as indicated by the Crypto Fear and Greed Index, which has sharply declined from a level of 55 (Neutral) to 21 (Extreme Fear) within less than a week. The market’s fear has been exacerbated by the recent Bybit hack, along with growing trade tensions due to the imposition of tariffs on Mexico and Canada.

According to Simon Peters, crypto analyst at eToro, “Bitcoin had been showing resilience until it reached the $92,000 level, which had served as support since November 2024. The break below this level likely triggered a series of liquidations, intensifying the downward pressure on the price.”

The decline comes amid broader market uncertainties, and Peters believes more downward movement could occur based on historical trends. “If we look at previous bitcoin bull markets, we often see retracements of 25-35% before finding a base and starting the next upward trend. Currently, we’re down 20% from the all-time high of $109,300. A 35% drop could push bitcoin to around $70,000, though this is not a certainty,” Simon Peters, crypto analyst at eToro added.

Despite the current fear, Peters encourages long-term investors to keep perspective. “While large price movements can be concerning, they are typical in any asset class. We should remember that bitcoin is still 70% higher than it was a year ago,” he stated.

For investors with liquidity and long-term confidence in bitcoin, this correction could present an opportunity to strengthen their holdings.

Turning Passion Into Income: The Story of Wessam Hamadneh’s eCommerce Journey

Wessam Hamadneh is an American Palestinian, who has been living in Saudi Arabia since 2010. He is an eCommerce professional, a photographer at heart, and, somewhat unusually, a wristwatch enthusiast. He has a passion for helping people transform their ideas and passions into successful online businesses. He strongly believes in the motto “Follow your passion,” as he sees it as the key to unlocking one’s full potential and surpassing limitations.

His eCommerce journey began in 2018 with a small online store reselling watches, followed by freelance photography. In 2020, during the early days of the pandemic, he launched Ace Media in response to the increased demand for digital services. The agency offers eCommerce development, consultancy, photography, videography, and digital marketing services.

In 2020, he also started his career at H. M. Al Rugaib & Sons Trading Company as an eCommerce Specialist, later being promoted to lead the brilliant team behind the website. From 2018 to 2022, the most common question he received was, “How does he always manage to monetize his passions?” Whether it was content, watches, or photography, he always found a way. This motivated him to share his knowledge by creating a free, 11-page ebook titled “Start Your eCommerce Journey in KSA,” which helped many people kickstart their own online stores.

Encouraged by the success stories the ebook generated, he went on to publish “Master Passion into Income,” a comprehensive 100-page guide designed to help people discover their passion and learn how to turn it into profitable businesses. More importantly, it focuses on developing the right entrepreneurial mindset. He realized that nothing brought him more joy than helping others see their passions become the realities they once dreamed of. This led him to launch www.acemindsets.com, where he provides digital resources, content, and eCommerce consultancy services to help others do what they love for a living.

Today, he lives a fulfilling life, creating value for others by sharing his knowledge through his platform and managing the brilliant eCommerce team behind Al Rugaib Furniture.

What are the main factors that guided you to where you are now?

I’ve always been a passion-driven person. My dad once told me, “Love what you do and be the best at it.” So, I’d always find ways to develop my passion and take it to the next level. I also had a hunger to create value for others through my skill set, which included content creation and online business solutions, making me more customer-centric in my approach today. I never restricted my ability to learn and always searched for the next big thing to capitalize on and share with others. Most importantly, I’ve stayed true to myself and transparent with those around me. Having a sense of self-awareness and the ability to deliver a message of hope and trust to your audience is critical in building genuine relationships.

Given your years of experience and accomplishments, what would you say was your biggest achievement?

That would have to be the journey. It’s important to pause and reflect on where you were and what you did to get to where you are today. I took a moment to look back at what I had accomplished by the age of 23. I went from charging SAR 100/hour to charging SAR 4,000/hour for photography work. Being able to influence hundreds of people, showing them that they, too, can make a living doing what they love through online solutions, was a huge accomplishment. Finally, leading a high-performing eCommerce team at a leading furniture retailer.

What is the quote that inspires you the most?

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” – Steve Jobs. It emphasizes the impact work has on our lives and how central it is to finding fulfillment. He suggests that true satisfaction comes from dedicating oneself to meaningful and excellent work, and the key to achieving that excellence is passion. When you love what you do, you’re more likely to pour energy and creativity into it, which ultimately leads to producing great results. Hence, I love being in the business of inspiring people’s lives.

How would you balance the pursuit of wealth and success with personal fulfillment and happiness?

Balancing the pursuit of wealth and success with personal fulfillment and happiness is about aligning both goals with my core values. I believe that financial success is important, but true fulfillment comes from relationships, personal growth, and living with purpose. I strive to set clear boundaries between work and personal life, making time for the things that matter most, whether it’s spending time with loved ones, focusing on my health, or pursuing passions outside of work. Success isn’t just measured by wealth; it’s about learning, contributing to others, and feeling a sense of accomplishment in all areas of life. I also recognize that what brings happiness and fulfillment can evolve over time, so I make a conscious effort to reassess my priorities and adapt as life changes. Ultimately, I aim to create a life where wealth and success complement my personal well-being, rather than compete with it.

In your opinion, what factors would determine the success of a sales strategy? Why?

The success of an online sales strategy fundamentally revolves around understanding market demand and being deeply customer-centric. A strong strategy starts with a clear grasp of the target audience: what their needs are, where they spend their time online, and how they make purchasing decisions. This insight allows businesses to tailor their offerings and marketing messages in a way that resonates with potential customers. Furthermore, the strategy must be flexible, able to adapt to changes in market trends and business needs. Whether it’s seasonality, shifts in consumer behavior, or new competition, a successful strategy must evolve and pivot in real-time to stay relevant.

Equally important is the recognition that both acquisition and retention strategies must work hand-in-hand. While bringing in new customers is vital, keeping them engaged and loyal over time is what sustains long-term growth. A key part of this is crafting a sales funnel that is transparent, personalized, and convenient for customers, rather than relying on traditional, intrusive sales tactics. The focus should be on providing value at each stage of the customer journey, building trust, and nurturing relationships. By moving away from spammy approaches and offering tailored solutions, businesses can create a seamless and engaging experience that leads to higher conversion rates and better customer retention.

In light of your journey and experiences, what message would you like to convey to aspiring entrepreneurs?

To all aspiring entrepreneurs, my message is simple: just get started. Don’t wait for the perfect moment or the ideal conditions; nothing is impossible when you take that first step. The journey may seem overwhelming at times, but remember, everything is possible when you break it down one step at a time. Find what you’re passionate about, follow it relentlessly, and figure out how to make a living from it. When you’re driven by passion and big dreams, the human mind is capable of achieving remarkable things. As you move forward, strive to learn constantly and stay authentic in all your relationships. Focus on giving value without expecting anything in return, because when you do that, opportunities will start to open up in ways you never imagined.

There will be moments when you feel drained, hopeless, or tempted to quit, but in those times, remind yourself why you started. You’re not just building a business or a career; you’re working towards creating a change in your life, and that takes effort. If you want to be in the top 1%, you have to be willing to do what 99% of the world won’t. It won’t be easy, and obstacles will come, but each struggle you face and overcome will only make you stronger. Don’t believe that success is just about luck, because luck is what happens when you’ve built enough doors for opportunity to knock on. So, start building. Adopt the mindset that there’s no such thing as failure, only lessons learned. You have nothing to lose, so take that first step today. The journey starts now, and if you do what you love for a living, you’ll never truly work a day in your life.

What is your personal team leadership philosophy, and how does it shape the approach and methodologies used by Ace Mindsets Academy?

My leadership philosophy is centered on developing others. I believe true leadership isn’t about authority but about building other leaders by providing motivation, inspiration, and accountability. Growth comes from facing challenges, not from easy solutions. As a leader, I aim to share my experiences and guide others, empowering them to take ownership of their journey. At Ace Mindsets Academy, this approach helps our members think critically and act with passion. I value directness and authenticity, speaking with passion and pushing people to exceed their limits. While it may seem harsh, I avoid sugar-coating the truth because I believe it’s necessary for growth. Over time, I’ve learned that listening is just as important as speaking. Leadership is about understanding others to offer the right support, ensuring their growth is meaningful and impactful.

What is the most valuable lesson learned from your professional journey?

The power of adaptability. Being the most capable of adjusting to unforeseen changes in the environment makes you the fittest for survival under the harshest of conditions. You’ll move faster than those around you. No matter how well you plan or how much expertise you have, things rarely go exactly as expected. Embracing change, staying open to new ideas, and being willing to pivot when necessary has been crucial for my professional growth.

Tell us more about what distinguishes Ace Mindsets Academy from others providing similar services.

As someone who has been on the client end of many eCommerce and entrepreneurial educators, mentors, and consultants, I can tell you that most programs focus on providing fixed services or get-rich-quick frameworks. The truth is, no matter how good or successful a framework might be, it may not be right for you. Just because it worked for me doesn’t mean it will work for you. Definitely, some things will work for you, but possibly through a different route. People and businesses have different strengths and weaknesses. Hence, Ace Mindsets focuses on mindset transformation as the foundation for success. We believe the right mindset not only drives performance but also fosters long-term resilience and fulfillment. We tailor solutions to meet the demands of different groups and help build leaders by investing in their inner growth. Rather than handing out one-size-fits-all courses or solutions, we take the time to understand each person’s unique journey and tailor our guidance to their specific needs.

Where do you see the future of eCommerce in the next 3-5 years, and how do you plan to adapt to those changes?

In the next 3-5 years, eCommerce will evolve into a dynamic, multi-dimensional space where traditional online shopping platforms will act as search engines, guiding consumers through hyper-personalized journeys. Thanks to advancements in AI, websites will anticipate shoppers’ needs by understanding their tastes, moods, and even home environments. Personalization will become so advanced that it will feel as though each digital storefront is tailored specifically to an individual, offering recommendations that feel more like suggestions from a trusted friend than a generic algorithm. This level of customization will be driven by AI, which will not only optimize product recommendations but also interact with customers through highly intelligent, responsive customer service systems, transforming the overall shopping experience into something far more intuitive and engaging.
Simultaneously, the concept of “phygital” shopping will merge the physical and digital realms into a seamless, omnichannel experience. Retailers will integrate online and offline channels, creating interactive, hybrid shopping environments that bridge the gap between virtual and brick-and-mortar stores. The distinction between the two will blur as consumers engage with brands both in person and online through connected, immersive experiences. Niche marketplaces and subscription models will gain traction, offering specialized products and building communities around specific interests. These models will cater to more defined audiences, emphasizing value over volume, and shifting focus toward fostering deeper relationships between brands and their customers, rather than simply selling products. Together, these trends will redefine the eCommerce landscape, making it more personalized, integrated, and community-focused.

Loading… Cyberthreats: 1.6 million cyberattacks on Roblox players detected in 2024

Ahead of Safer Internet Day on 11 February 2025, Kaspersky experts have highlighted the growing risks children face online by analyzing threats associated with one of the most popular gaming platforms — Roblox. The experts shed light on the alarming rise in cyberthreats disguised as Roblox-related files: the immense popularity of the game has made it a lucrative target for cybercriminals, with Kaspersky detecting more than 1.6 million attempted cyberattacks disguised as Roblox-related files in 2024 alone.

With millions of monthly active users, Roblox is more than just a game, it’s a digital playground where children worldwide connect and explore immersive digital worlds. Roblox’s user-generated content makes it an ideal environment for creativity, but also for exploitation. Since many players actively seek out ways to customize their gaming experience, they often unknowingly download malicious files that compromise their security. The game’s massive appeal among younger audiences has turned it into a lucrative hunting ground for cybercriminals who disguise malware as mods, cheats, or free in-game currency generators.

In 2024, Kaspersky detected 1,612,921 attacks disguised as Roblox-related files. The highest number of attacks was recorded in August (179,286), followed by September (160,116) and October (151,638).

Attempts to download malicious or unwanted files disguised as Roblox-related throughout 2024

One of the most common scams in gaming is the offer to receive in-game currency for free. In one of the schemes that has been revealed, users are asked to enter their game ID or username, selecting their preferred platform (Android, iOS, Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo) to create the illusion of an official multi-platform tool. Below this, a fake activity tracker shows recent transactions from supposed players receiving Robux, reinforcing the scam’s credibility. Once the player proceeds, they are prompted to complete various “verification” tasks or surveys to win the prize which might include a new iPhone, PlayStation, etc. However, to receive the prize a victim is asked to pay for delivery. After completing the payment, the victim loses the money and does not receive the prize.

The website mimics the official Roblox design to appear legitimate, encouraging users to input their account details in exchange for free Robux

Safer Internet Day is a reminder that safeguarding digital safety is more important than ever, especially for young gamers who are frequent targets of cybercriminals,” says Vasily Kolesnikov, security expert at Kaspersky. “Cybercriminals are constantly evolving their tactics, and to protect kids who are actively exploring the digital world, we need to make cybersecurity an essential part of their upbringing. By promoting cyber hygiene, using trusted security solutions, and teaching essentials like enabling two-factor authentication, we can create a safer online environment where kids can enjoy their favorite games without falling victim to scams.”

To keep your kids safe online, Kaspersky recommends users take the following steps:

  • By staying informed about the latest threats and actively monitoring their children’s online activities, parents can create a safer online environment for their kids.
  • It’s crucial for parents to have open communication with their children about the potential risks they may encounter online and to enforce strict guidelines to ensure their safety.
  • Help your child choose a unique password and aim to change it periodically.
  • Set clear ground rules about what they can and can’t do online and explain why you have put them in place. You need to review these as your child gets older.
  • With dedicated apps for digital parenting such as Kaspersky Safe Kids, parents can effectively safeguard their children across both online and offline spaces. These apps help adults ensure a safe and positive digital experience for little ones by establishing healthy habits, protecting them from inappropriate content, balancing screen time and monitoring children’s physical location.
  • To help parents introduce their children to cybersecurity, Kaspersky experts have developed the Kaspersky Cybersecurity Alphabet. In this book, your kids will get to know new technologies, learn the main cyber hygiene rules, find out how to avoid online threats, and recognize fraudsters’ tricks. You can download the pdf of the book for free.

The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between UAE and Japan will open horizons for the private sector in both countries

Dubai, UAE, 10 February 2025: His Excellency Dr. Thani Bin Ahmad Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, officially inaugurated the 2nd Edition of the Japan-Kyoto Trade Exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The prestigious event features over 120 Japanese companies and brands, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a strategic hub for Japanese trade and investment in the region.

His Excellency Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, confirmed during his opening speech at the Japan Kyoto Trade Exhibition 2025, hosted by the Emirate of Dubai, that UAE-Japanese relations are witnessing continued momentum thanks to the two countries’ joint mission to continue advancing their decades-long partnership to new heights of shared growth and prosperity.

“Efforts to advance Emirati-Japanese relations to broader horizons stem from a strategic trade and investment partnership with a solid base of commercial prosperity, as bilateral non-oil trade in 2024 reached about $17.7 billion, an increase of 2.2 percent compared to 2023 and a growth of 32 percent compared to 2021. Japan is the ninth largest trading partner of the UAE globally, while the country is Japan’s first trading partner in the Gulf region.” said His Excellency.

His Excellency elaborated: “The two countries launched talks to reach a comprehensive economic partnership agreement last November, and it is expected that we will complete this agreement before the end of this year, opening up great horizons and providing promising opportunities for the private sector and business communities on both sides to build long-term partnerships that contribute to joint economic growth.”

The Japan-Kyoto Trade Exhibition is set to become an annual fixture in the Middle East, providing a platform for Japanese businesses to showcase their products and services while enabling UAE-based enterprises to explore new commercial opportunities. Organized by Maico Enterprise, the exhibition aligns with the growing interest of Japanese companies in expanding their footprint in the UAE and the broader Middle East, particularly as the two nations advance negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

Mai Sakaue, CEO of Maico Enterprise and Chair of the Executive Committee for the Japan Trade Exhibition emphasized the event’s significant growth in participation, with over 100 exhibiting companies and brands. This expansion underscores the UAE’s importance as a gateway for Japanese businesses seeking regional expansion. Additionally, more than 20 Japanese companies will attend to explore future participation.

On September 18, 2024, the UAE and Japan initiated discussions on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to unlock new economic collaboration opportunities and drive sustainable growth.

The Japan Trade Exhibition, taking place from February 10-12, 2025, highlights a diverse array of Japanese companies from sectors including technology, artificial intelligence, aerospace, food industries, engineering, sustainability, tourism, healthcare, arts, and crafts. The exhibition aims to explore trade and investment prospects while leveraging Dubai’s strategic location as a global business hub.

As the first comprehensive platform dedicated to showcasing Japanese innovation in the UAE and GCC, the exhibition offers an unparalleled opportunity to connect with industry leaders, buyers, retailers, and key decision-makers across multiple sectors in Japan, the UAE, and the wider Middle East. It also fosters cultural exchange between the two nations.

Sakaue further highlighted the historical significance of trade between the Arab world and Japan, stating, “Historical records show that the trade of incense wood between the Arab countries and Japan has existed since the Heian period, over a thousand years ago. At this trade show, we will begin the opening ceremony with a performance of incense rituals using incense wood that is more than a thousand years old, celebrating the origins of our long-standing trade history. We hope that this event will not only foster future business opportunities but also help build connections between many people, contributing to peace and development”

“We are thrilled to launch the second edition of the Japan Trade Exhibition, a unique platform for Japanese industries to establish strong business ties with UAE companies while celebrating Japan’s rich industrial and cultural heritage. With approximately 30,000 visitors expected, we anticipate an outstanding opportunity for attendees from the UAE, the Middle East, and North Africa,” said Sakaue.

She added, “The event features over 100 exhibitors spanning industries such as technology, robotics, and aerospace, including cutting-edge solutions from Japan’s digital space industry, as well as food and beverage, healthcare, and cosmetics. Key exhibitors include ITOEN, a leading Japanese beverage company, and AVITA, an innovative startup leveraging over 25 years of research by Hiroshi Ishiguro to develop AI-driven solutions addressing societal challenges.”

The 2025 edition has also attracted a significant number of Japanese startups eager to explore investment and funding opportunities in the UAE, capitalizing on the country’s pro-business environment and support for emerging enterprises. These startups will showcase their latest innovations to visitors, investors, and business leaders through dedicated sessions highlighting advancements in AI, robotics, sustainability, healthcare, and green infrastructure technology.

The Japan Trade Exhibition remains the premier platform for Japanese businesses to present their innovations to key stakeholders in the UAE, GCC, and broader Middle East. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore commercial prospects, engage with industry leaders, buyers, and policymakers, and partake in enriching cultural exchanges.
